Flight Lessons

I have always wanted to fly. For my New Experience pillar, I decided to pursue my Private Pilot's License (PPL) through lessons at East Coast Aero Club.

Dual Training

I fly with my instructor, learning how to operate the plane itself while it's in the air. We practice maneuvers and safety protocols. I'm currently working on slow flight maneuvers to get ready for my first landing. Later on, I will have to fly Solo hours in preparation for the FAA checkride that I must pass to earn my PPL.

Ground School

I watch instructional videos and complete associated knowledge quizzes on everything from aircraft preflight to navigational techniques to airspace rules. Ground School is a hefty workload, but it prepares me for the FAA written examination that I must pass to earn my PPL.
