Band

As part of my Remaining Hours, I played guitar in a band with Adrian (drums), Meeka (bass), and Alec (bass). Collectively creating music has always been a joy of mine, and I have wanted to play in a rock band for several years. It was very exciting to explore music with my friends, especially with Alec and Adrian, who were not musically trained.

We originally planned out our setlist to follow a specific theme, that being growing up and experiencing the end of something for the first time. But because of our skill level and the time we had, we decided to just play songs we enjoyed. Our final list was:

Steady As She Goes by The Raconteurs

Selfless by The Strokes

There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths

Bored by Laufey

Most songs were really tough. But as Beethoven says, "to play a wrong note is insignificant. To play without passion is inexcusable." We played with a deep passion and got much better as a result. I'm looking forward to our end-of-year house concert!
